MM2 trading glossary: every term, explained

Judging a trade

The words people use to say whether a trade is any good.

WFL

Win, fair or lose. Posted after a trade description to ask the room to judge it from your side. "My Harvester for their Batwing + adds, WFL?" Full guide here: wfl-meaning.

W / F / L

The three possible answers. W means you get more value than you give. F means both sides are within a few percent. L means you are giving away value. Some people add "slight" or "huge" in front.

OP / overpay

Giving more than listed value. Normal for high-demand items, where owners know someone will pay extra. "Slight OP" is roughly 5 to 15% over; "huge OP" is 30% or more.

UP / underpay

The opposite: an offer under value. Sometimes accepted when the item has low demand and the owner just wants it gone.

Lowball

An offer so far under value its almost insulting. Not a scam, just a bad offer. Decline and move on.

Fair by value

A trade where the totals match but one side is much harder to move than the other. "Fair by value, L by demand" is a real verdict you will see.

Adds

Small items thrown in to close a gap. "Your godly for my two legends plus adds." Adds are how most trades actually get to fair.

Downgrade / upgrade

Trading one big item for several smaller ones (downgrade) or several small ones for one big (upgrade). Upgrading usually costs a few percent; that is the price of consolidation.

Looking for stuff

Shorthand you will see in trade chat and Discord servers, alot of it borrowed from other Roblox trading games.

LF

Looking for. "LF Heart Wand" means they want one and are open to offers.

NLF

Not looking for. Usually a list of items they will not accept as payment, so you do not waste your time offering commons.

NFT

Not for trade. The item is in their inventory but they are keeping it. Nothing to do with crypto.

Offer / offering

"Offer for my Icewing" means they are taking bids. "Offering Darkbringer" means that is what they are putting up.

IA

Items added, or I added. Said during a trade to tell the other person to look at the window again.

1:1, 2:1

One for one, two for one. A 1:1 between a chroma and its base is never fair, no matter how the names look.

Stock / full stock

Owning many copies of one item. "Full stock of Darkbringers" is someone who collects them and will often pay a bit over to add another.

Collector

Someone who buys for the collection, not to flip. Collectors are where you get overpay for odd items nobody else wants.

Item types

The tiers and the words attached to them. Remember a tier is where an item came from, not what it is worth.

Common / Uncommon / Rare

The bottom three tiers, from the standard boxes. Nearly all worth under 1. Used as adds and filler.

Legendary / legend

One tier under godly. A handful have real value; most are cheap adds now that the game has so many godlies.

Godly

The main trading tier. Knives and guns with a special look, from boxes and events. Values run from under 20 to several thousand, so always check the number.

Ancient

The tier above godly. Only fourteen exist. Values range from 15 to effectively priceless, which is why "ancient" alone tells you nothing. See the ancient guide.

Chroma

A godly with a shifting rainbow finish. Same weapon, far lower drop rate. Worth more than the base, but the premium varies wildly (10% to 40x on our list). See the chroma guide.

Vintage

Retired weapons from the game's early years: Ghost, Laser, Prince, Cowboy and friends. Collector items, all cheap.

Unique / trophies

Mostly gold, silver and bronze event trophies handed to leaderboard winners. A few copies exist of each. The values are labels, not prices; nobody is trading you a gold trophy.

Pet

Cosmetic companions from event and pet boxes. Thinly traded. The event pets that cannot return hold value; the rest do not.

Knife / gun

Most godlies come as a knife or a gun with the same theme, and often as a matched set (Darkbringer is the knife, Darkshot the gun for the Dark set, for example). Sets are sometimes worth a little more together to collectors.

Values and the list

Value

The community's agreed trade worth of an item, in unitless points. Not Robux. Only meaningful compared to other items.

Demand

How many people actively want an item, out of 10 on this site. Most items sit at 1 or 2. Anything 4 and up moves quickly. Full guide: mm2-demand-explained.

Rarity

How scarce an item is, also out of 10. Rarity without demand is an item that holds value on paper and sells slowly.

Stability

Where the value is in its cycle: Stable, Doing well, Peaking, Overpaid for, Underpaid for, Fluctuating, Decreasing. Most items are Stable, so when you see another tag, read it.

Supreme

Trader slang for the very top of a tier. "Supreme godlies" are the four-figure ones. Some other sites use it as a name for their whole list.

Seer

A cheap godly that, years ago, was the base unit on the original value lists (one Seer was one point). Lists have re-scaled since and Seer itself is only worth a few points now, but older traders still say things like "that's about 30 seers" out of habit.

Nik's / Nik's Scythe

The rarest ancient, named after Nikilis, the game's developer. Priced in the hundreds of millions, which is the list's way of saying nobody is trading it.

N/A value

The feed has no agreed price because the item almost never trades on its own. Treat it as a throw-in.

Scam vocabulary

Know these so you recognise them the moment they show up. Details in the safety guide.

Trust trade

"Give me your item first and I'll give you double." Always a scam. Nothing pays out.

MM / middleman

A third player who offers to hold both sides of a trade. In MM2 there is no legitimate version of this. If a deal needs a middleman, the deal is the problem.

Vouch

Someone saying "this person is trustworthy". Trivially faked. A Discord server with 200 vouches is a Discord server with 200 alt accounts.

Cross trade

MM2 items for Adopt Me pets, Blox Fruits, Robux or anything outside the game. Cannot be secured, breaks Roblox rules, and is where most big losses happen.

View and switch

Showing a chroma, declining, then rebuilding the trade with the plain version and rushing you to accept. Beaten by re-reading every slot after any change.

Dupe / duped

An item copied through an exploit or bug. Historically some dupe waves crashed the value of the affected item. If someone has twenty of something that should be rare, ask why.
